I would like to acknowledge all those before me, all they left behind and all that I have learned from them. I am beyond grateful for my Squamish language teachers and for all the students who shared space with me; they taught me a lot about being an educator.

No work can move forward without the footprints of others before us.

I would like to acknowledge my late grandparents for speaking the language around me.

I am truly grateful for what you have shared with me.  

Lastly, thank you to my parents who brought me into this world and thank you to our son who chose me to be his mother.
