22 Ch’éḵch’eḵts
[ch'ek ch'ek ts]
Geographical location: located on the Squamish River about 5km north from High Falls Creek.

*Please note: Before contact we did not navigate within our territory by means of an outlined/defined map. We navigated from knowledge of the land and the seasons.
Ch’éḵch’eḵts can translate to "dirty mouth." By late 1870’s our people abandoned the village and moved down to False Creek. It was a good location to catch coho salmon. We also smoked and dried meat (salmon, deer and goat). It was a hunting area.
