3 Ch’íchelxwi7ḵw
[ch'ich el xwi7 kw]
"Seymour" Geographical location: mouth of Seymour River.

*Please note: Before contact we did not navigate within our territory by means of an outlined/defined map. We navigated from knowledge of the land and the seasons.
Ch’íchelxwi7ḵw can translate to "near or narrow." We would fish here. It was a good location for collecting clams, hunting ducks and deer. Deer hunting would be upriver. The Village hosted a few large gatherings here in the longhouse. There was an incident of a warden cutting one our fishing nets that was a catalyst of our fishing and hunting rights.
